We’re excited to share that last month marked a significant milestone for the Baby Ubuntu trial! The PDC Baby Ubuntu trial is a cluster randomised trial based in Rwanda, evaluating the impact of the Baby Ubuntu programme on young children at risk of developmental disabilities and their caregivers. Our colleagues at Partners In Health / Inshuti mu Buzima brought together policymakers, practitioners, and families in Kigali, Rwanda, to share early insights from the PDC Baby Ubuntu trial and reflect on what they could mean for children, families, and systems of support.

The event sparked honest, thoughtful, and importantly challenging conversations – exploring the power of earlier support, the importance of strong connections between caregivers and within communities, and how we can give children at risk, and their families, the best possible start.

Alongside the event, filming began to capture the story behind the trial – not just the data, but the real experiences, voices, and impact that sit behind it.

We can’t wait to share more, including a short film and the full trial findings in the coming months!
