Kirsten is a South African clinical academic paediatric occupational therapist and final-year doctoral researcher. With over ten years of experience supporting children with complex neurodisability across clinical, community, and research settings, she has led the adaptation of the Baby Ubuntu caregiver programme for a culturally diverse UK context, resulting in the ‘Encompass’ programme in East London. Kirsten brings strong expertise in participatory, qualitative, and mixed-methods research and continues to practice clinically in Newham, ensuring her work remains grounded in families’ everyday experiences.
