A Rwandan paediatric nurse and public health specialist with a strong passion for early childhood development, inclusion, and strengthening health systems to deliver equitable, high-quality, family-centred interventions for at-risk children and their families. With eight years of experience working at the intersection of programme implementation and research, focusing on the delivery and impact of early childhood interventions within the public healthcare system, he brings contextual expertise and a strategic, systems-focused approach to integrating and scaling programmes across the government health system. Through his current role as Project Manager for the Paediatric Development Clinic (PDC)/Baby Ubuntu Scale-Up at Partners In Health/Inshuti Mu Buzima, Mathieu leads the implementation of the Baby Ubuntu programme integrated within the government health facilities in Rwanda.
