A South Africa-born, UK-trained paediatrician with over 30 years’ experience working with children and families, with an international reputation in clinical and implementation research focusing on risk, impacts and interventions for newborn health and child disabilities. A passionate advocate for universal access to care for disabled children and their caregivers, she provides technical expertise to international organisations, including the World Health Organization. Drawing on her own lived experience of child disability, her work centres on equitable access to care and support through a lens of gender equity and social inclusion, particularly for under-represented communities.
